«ALeXX FreeWay» team has won in rally «Дакар 2007»
On December, 31 with the support of «ALeXX» Ukraine will first participate in commencement meeting of rally «Dacar-2006». The Ukrainian team will run a marathon throughout Europe and comeback to start training for participation in rally «Dacar-2007».
«Ukraine has never participated nor in rally, nor in commencement meeting. This year for the first time our delegation is going to the official commencement meeting of rally «Dacar» to declare that Ukraine has potential participants. Besides, «ALeXX» is going to finance the invention of the first rally car and to introduce Ukrainian team, named «ALeXX FreeWay», Andrei Romanyuk, brand manager of «ALeXX» reports.
The first Ukrainian parade-marathon «ALeXX FreeWay Open Cup Golden Rider» starts in Kiev on December, 21. The route includes stops in such big European cities as Berlin, Brussels, Frankfurt, Paris, Madrid, Lisbon . The Ukrainian delegation is supposed to return in Kiev on January 10, 2006 .
During «ALexx FreeWay Open Cup Golden Rider» competition the Ukrainian team will get acquainted with organizers of rally «Dacar». They have planned negotiations concerning participation conditions of the Ukrainian team. First, potential participants will visit «Volkswagen» machine works. Afterwards, there’ll be held a meeting of rally racing teams. The exclusive interview with the famous Russian team«Kamaz» will give Ukrainians detailed recommendations in numerous technical items about building rally cars. Beforehand, they also submitted visiting a leading European tuning-center «Lorinzer» (Germany) in order to research sports and technical innovations.
Seven cars, which became winners in street-racing, auto tuning and sound in 2005, now compete under the banners of «ALeXX FreeWay». The team consists of 19 members, among them: Vladimir Buliguin, «Toyota Camry», twice champion in auto tuning and sound of Ukraine, bronze medalist of European championship in auto tuning and sound; Hennady Makarov, «Volkswagen RS», frequent participant of rally-raid in Ukraine; Sergey Nazarenko, «Mercedes Gladiator», champion of 2004 in street-racing, specialization is 2,8 liters, auto design master.
This year rally «Dacar» Racing starts on December,31 in Lisbon and finishes on January,15 in Dakar, the capital of Senegal, on January,15. Nearly 508 lorry, jeep and motorcycle crews applied to the coming race. Rally «Dacar» is race in production tuning car samples on extempore roads.
Roman Schipkov heads the delegation of Ukrainian representatives for participation in opening Rally «Dacar» and is the president of the National Auto League, master of sports, champion of Ukraine in motor rally.
There are other official members of parade-marathon as well, such as mass media representatives and these of companies, engaged in advancement of motor sport in Ukraine: TV Channel 5, New Channel, Steering wheel Ukraine, Playboy, Kievstar, German Motors, Seat, Niko-Ukraine, Mazda, Suzuki, Citroen, Autocar, Eurocar and others.
Motorcar enthusiasts may follow «ALeXX FreeWay Open Cup Golden Rider» by means of daily direct transmissions on «5 канале» — in TV program «No comments» and on «KISS FM» radio in program «Automania».
